This lot consists of the following bayonets: 1) Canadian Ross 1905 Bayonet. Leather scabbard & frog present. Grip panels & frog have US Flaming Bomb markings. No bayonet button present. CONDITION: metal shows light oxidation, fading to gray, edge wear & paint splatter. Wooden grip panels show some dings & handling marks. Leather scabbard & frog show scattered crazing & flaking. 2) US M1917 Bayonet. Leather frog & scabbard present. Button assembly is missing. Remington made bayonet. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet are mostly dull gray with scattered edge wear oxidation. Wooden panels show deep added notches with a gouge on right side, a few other gouges, some dings & handling wear. Scabbard & frog show denting, staining, crazing & flaking. 3) US M1 Bayonet. Made from an arsenal cutdown M1905 Springfield bayonet. No scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet show scattered edge wear, staining, oxidation & fading. Black handles show dings, heavy wear & marks. 4) Cutdown Australian P1907 Bayonet. 1942 dated Aussie bayonet modified with 7 1/2" blade. No scabbard present. CONDITION: blade has silvery-gray appearance with scratches & oxidation. Other metal parts of bayonet are a dull gray patina with edge wear & oxidation. Wooden panels have a refinished appearance with dings, gouges & chipping. 5) Hopkins & Allen Belgian 1889 bayonet. No scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet are turning gray with oxidation & staining. Grip panels show some dings & handling marks. 6) US M1905 Bayonet. 1909 dated Springfield M1905 bayonet. Metal parts of bayonet have reapplied chrome finish. White painted USN MKI scabbard. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet show some flaking & oxidation. Wooden grip panels show some chips, dings & small gouges. Scabbard shows flaking & oxidation. 7) British P1907 Bayonet. Bayonet has 1925 date & Sanderson maker's markings. Reapplied chrome on bayonet & scabbard. Leather scabbard. CONDITION: metal parst of bayonet & scabbard show finished over pitting, dings, oxidation & dents. Wooden grip panels have a refinished appearance with stains & dings. Leather scabbard shows crazing & flaking. (02-25319/MJC). NON-GUN. $200-300 for lot.
