Va., the companies of this command have been detached to go to their homes to recruit until the 31st day of March 1864 - and no duty will be required from the officers & men until the above date, unless the exigencies of the service require that they be assembled at an earlier date. II. Adjutants of Regiments will furnish any officer or private of their Regts who require to go to a county different from that in which their command will stay with a copy of this order which will serve as a passport to the bearer</i>...” Issued to Pvt. <b>Eugene Davis</b> (1822-1894), Co.
