TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. All persons attending a Sale under the conduct of the Auctioneers shall be deemed to be on the land & premises at their own risk and shall have no claim against the Auctioneers concerning cancellation/postponement of a Sale or any loss, accident or injury, however occasioned.
2. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of advertisements, catalogue descriptions and other publicity, but declare that all written and oral statements are those of opinion only, made without responsibility and shall not give rise to any action in law for damages, compensation or rescission of a sale by Purchaser against any Vendor or the Auctioneers.
3. Many lots are of such a nature or age that preclude their being in pristine condition. Some catalogue description may refer to damage and/or restoration; however, omission of such reference does not imply a lot is free from defects nor does the reference to any defect imply the absence of others.
4. Ample time is given for the inspection and scrutiny of lots and Purchasers should therefore satisfy themselves by physical inspection of lots, before bidding, as to the origin, authenticity, quality, age, weight, size and general description, as lots are sold in their actual state with faults, imperfections or errors of description.
5. Persons handling lots do so at their own risk and shall make good any loss or damage however sustained: such estimate of cost to be assessed by the Auctioneers whose decision shall be final.
6. All lots are sold subject to any announcement, declaration, alteration of description or other matters, made by the Auctioneers before the auction.
7. At the fall of the hammer, the highest bidder, acceptable to the Auctioneers, shall be the Purchaser and any dispute shall be settled by the Auctioneers, whose decision shall be final. Any lot failing to reach reserve, can be purchased from the Cash Desk only , at the reserve price, on a first come, first serve basis. Reserves are generally not negotiable.
8. Cheques in excess of recognised limits will only be accepted if supported by proof of identity and address, ie: a UK Driving Licence or Passport. Details from such must be clearly written on the back of any cheque. In all cases, cheques must be supported by a valid Bank Card. Buyers unknown to the Auctioneers must arrange for their Bankers to issue a written status report giving the sale date, non compliance may delay the release of lots pending the clearance of cheques.
9. If within seven days of the Sale, a person gives notice in writing to the Auctioneers that in his/her opinion a particular lot is a deliberate forgery and provides evidence of the same, then the Auctioneers will rescind the transaction and refund the purchase price received by them.
10. There is no Buyers Premium nor VAT payable in our Sale by Purchasers.
11. All payments must be settled on the day and lots collected either throughout the auction or immediately afterwards. Lots cannot be stored on the premises. Unsold lots must be collected within 3 months otherwise they will be sold for charity.
12. Commission rate to Vendors
