<B>LLOYD GOFF (1908-1982)</B></I><BR><I>Courtyard,</B></I> late 1920s to early 1930s<BR>Oil on canvasboard<BR>10in. x 12in.<BR>Unsigned, accompanied by certification from the executor of the Lloyd Goff Estate<BR>Titled verso<BR><BR>The word "courtyard" generally evokes the idea of an elegant garden with perhaps some statuary. In this painting, Lloyd Goff depicts a courtyard of a simple pioneer cabin with wooden porch (dog run), a well, and a tangle of vines. The edifice is probably the original structure and the building to the left was probably a later addition.<BR><BR>Provenance:<BR>Estate of Lloyd Goff<BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> Excellent condition.
