<B>LLOYD GOFF (1908-1982)</B></I><BR><I>Yucatan</B></I>, 1953<BR>Gouache and watercolor on artist board<BR>21 x 17 inches (53.3 x 43.2 cm)<BR>Signed and dated lower left<BR><BR> This watercolor is a small scale version of the major 1939 Lloyd Goff oil and duco (40 in. x 30 in.) painting titled, <I>Pabellones (Mosquito Nets) Yucatan</B></I>. Goff frequently painted in Mexico during his career, and in fact is one of the few Texas Regionalists to have a one-man show in that country.<BR><BR>A publicity photo of the oil by Otto E. Nelson Fine Art Photography of New York City is included with this lot. This watercolor is a virtual mirror image of the oil.<BR><BR>Provenance:<BR>Estate of Lloyd Goff<B>Condition Report:</B> Excellent condition with minor tear to left edge near bottom.
