Beautiful oil painting on canvas by listed American artist Edward Garbely (1909-1991), Newark, NJ. Garbley studied with noted artist Emil Gruppe and NY artist Dorothy Koppelman, who has shown at MOMA. He also exhibited at Montclair Art Museum; Newark Museu; NJ State Museum; Trenton Museum and the National Academy of Design. This painting is in excellent condition and framed in a washed wood frame, also in good condition. Measures 29.5"W x 23.5"H, add an additional 7" for the frame. Provenance: This painting belonged to the late Mrs. May Spooner of NJ who passed away at the young age of 100 in the year 2000. The painting was then passed on to her nephew and neice-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Russell, of Virginia Beach, where it has been preserved lovingly all these years. It truly is a beautiful piece!
