Abraham Lincoln's (Daniel Day-Lewis) white gloves from Steven Spielberg's historical drama Lincoln. The president was handed his gloves by his valet William Slade (Stephen McKinley Henderson) as he dressed for the Grand Reception in his bedroom, while his oldest son Robert (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) argued that he should enlist in the military.

This lot was originally part of a charity auction held at the film's European premiere in Dublin in 2013, attended by Spielberg, Day-Lewis and Sally Field, who played Mary Todd Lincoln. Several items from the film were donated by Spielberg and the proceeds of the event went to a local charity. These gloves were based on the originals the President would have worn in 1865. Made from off-white leather, the gloves feature three decorative stitched lines on their backs. The wrists display vents with a small pearlescent button and loop fastening. The gloves exhibit light wear and minor stains from production use.
