Bbls. 23 3/4" fitted with claw bases, popup U-notch rear and silver bead front sights in slightly raised full length matted rib. Tops of bbls. are stamped “J.P. SAUER & SON” “MADE IN W-GERMANY” “BOHLER* ANTINIT” and with calibers. Bottoms of bbls. are stamped with 1963 East German Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers and 7x57R rifle cartridge. Matte silver finished aluminum scallop backed blitz action has rifle selector on top tang and features side safety, pin cocking indicators, crossbolt third fastener, bushed strikers, sideclips and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with 40% coverage simple scroll within punched small scroll borders. Bottom of action and trigger plate is stamped “ORIGINAL SAUER” and with logo. Lightly marbled European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13 3/4" over opensided brown “Whiteline” pad and is made with slight hogback to comb, shadowline right hand cheekpiece, hard rubber grip cap, point pattern checkering and sling loop. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release. Drilling is fitted with Nickel 2.5-6x rail scope with 3 post reticle in claw mounts, rear with windage. Scope also has windage adj. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .663", L .668". Restriction: R .012" (LIGHT MOD), L .017" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .032", L .030". STOCK: DAH: 2 7/8" DAC: 1 3/4". LOP: 13 3/4". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT WITHOUT SCOPE: 6 lb. 4 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black plastic case. CONDITION: very fine. Bbls. retaining over 90% original blue, action shows very little darkening. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish with a few marks. Checkering shows very light wear, mostly on left side of forend. All bores are bright and shiny. Action has just a touch of looseness which appears to be lateral and at hinge. A glimmer of light is visible at face. Mechanically crisp. Scope shows a good number of scratches and marks and some silvering in original lacquer. Optically clear with just a bit of haze. (22-4883/MGM). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
