W." & silver inlaid "FOR 2 INCH CASE ONLY" on narrow game rib. Bbl. flats stamped w/ Birmingham nitro proofs for 2" chambers & 7/8 oz. of shot. S# is on bottom of left bbl. Case hardened boxlock action features automatic safety & dbl. triggers. Action is line border engraved & maker's name is on each side. Blued top lever, floorplate & trigger guard are also line border engraved. S# is on trigger guard tang. Well streaked European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 13 3/4" over thin black "Decelerator" pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip & a vacant silver oval is on toeline. Matching splinter forend w/ shaped steel tip has spring tension release. MEASUREMENTS: bbls.: bore diameter: right: .728", left: .729". Restriction: right: .014" (MOD), left: .016" (MOD). Minimum Wall Thickness: right: .026", left: .026". STOCK: DAH: 2 1/16-". DAC: 1 1/2+". LOP: 13 3/4". CAST: approx 1/2 off. WEIGHT: 5 lbs. 7 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun comes in a tan canvas case w/ stitched leather corners by Brady which contains a pair of snap caps. CONDITION: good as mostly refinished. Bbls. retaining nearly all of a good quality reblack. Action cleaned to pewter gray. Secondary parts reblued & retained nearly all of that blue. Stocks w/ nearly all well done hand rubbed oil refinish. Checkering recut. Bright shiny bores w/ evidence of very professional dent removal on bottom of left bbl. 12" behind muzzle. Action is tight. Mechanically good. Case is very good to fine w/ some discoloration on exterior. Straps & handle are good. Interior cloth is fine w/ some rubs. (21-4033/MGM). CURIO. $2,000-3,500.
