LESNEY/MATCHBOX NO. 53 MERCEDES-BENZ 220 SE DIECAST
Vintage Lesney/Matchbox No. 53 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE diecast, manufactured in England during the 1960s, approximately 57–66 years old. A collectible Matchbox 1–75 Series luxury automobile featuring a deep burgundy-red diecast body, cream-coloured interior, clear windows, black metal base and grey wheels. The model represents the classic Mercedes-Benz 220 SE, with its distinctive front radiator grille, rounded headlights, sculpted bonnet and elegant European saloon styling. The underside is marked “Mercedes-Benz 220 SE,” “No. 53” and “Made in England by Lesney.” A classic example of Lesney's early miniature European luxury automobiles.
Condition: Grade 6/10 – Fair to Good Vintage Used Condition. Moderate paint chips, scratches and finish wear across the roof, bonnet, front fenders and body edges, with exposed metal in several areas. The windows show light ageing, and the cream-coloured interior remains visible. All four wheels are present. Unboxed.
