LESNEY/MATCHBOX NO. 11 PETROL TANKER DIECAST
Vintage Lesney/Matchbox No. 11 Petrol Tanker diecast, manufactured in England during the late 1950s to early 1960s, approximately 60–70 years old. An early Matchbox Regular Wheels series model featuring a red diecast cab, chassis and cylindrical petrol tank, grey plastic wheels and a cream-coloured oval rear tanker decal with red lettering. The underside is marked “PETROL TANKER,” “MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY” and “11.” A classic miniature British fuel-delivery vehicle.
Condition: Grade 5/10 – Average Vintage Used Condition. The red paint retains much of its original finish, with scattered chips and scratches along the tank seams, rear rim, cab edges and underside. The cream rear decal has significant wear and partial loss of lettering. All six grey wheels are present, showing age-related discolouration and surface wear.
