LESNEY/MATCHBOX MAJOR PACK NO. 8 SCAMMELL 6X6 TRACTOR DIECAST TRUCK
Vintage Lesney Matchbox Major Pack No. 8 Scammell 6x6 Tractor diecast truck, manufactured in England during the late 1950s to early 1960s era. Approximately 63–68 years old. Originally issued as part of the Matchbox Major Pack series, a range of larger-scale commercial vehicles that preceded the later Matchbox King Size series. This collectible British heavy-duty tractor features a blue diecast body, distinctive sloping bonnet, enclosed driver's cab, detailed rear platform, six black wheels, and rear coupling designed for attaching a heavy transport trailer. The underside is marked “SCAMMELL 6X6 TRACTOR” and “MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY.” An early Lesney commercial vehicle model representing the powerful six-wheel-drive Scammell tractor used for heavy haulage and industrial transportation.
Condition: Grade 3/10 – Poor to Fair Vintage Used Condition. Extensive paint loss, chipping, scratches, and exposed metal throughout, particularly across the cab roof, bonnet, body edges, and underside. Visible age-related wear to the chassis and wheel components. All six wheels appear present. Tractor unit only, without trailer. Unboxed.
