Lee Stroncek studied wildlife and fisheries biology at the University of
Montana and the University of Alaska, and then completed two years of art
instruction at Colorado State University. He is best known for his outdoorrelated
subjects. A fulltime artist since 1980, Stroncek's works are included in
private collections throughout the U.S., including the L.L. Bean Co. of Freeport,
Maine, as well as abroad. His works have appeared in numerous outdoororiented
and fine art publications as Sports Afield, Field & Stream, Fly Fisherman,
Trout, Southwest Art, Wildlife Art News, and Gray's Sporting Journal. He was a
regional winner in the 1987 Arts for the Parks competition and has shown in
several "Birds in Art" exhibitions at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum.
His work is included in the permanent collection of the National Museum of
Wildlife Art, Jackson, Wyoming. Lee makes his home in Bozeman, Montana.
