<td width="100%">
Bonbonniere with masks and paw feet made by Le Tallec, one of the top Old Paris manufacturers in France early 20th century. Made for Black Starr Gorham, which was the Gorham retailer on 5th Avenue, who merged with Black Starr Frost in the 1920's. (dissolved 1962).

Measures approx 7 1/2inches high. Diameter is 5 1/2 inches.

Round bottom with 3 moulded and richly gilded paw feet. The bowl which rests on the inverted bell-shaped bottom has mask heads, directly above the feet. The surface is handpainted and gilded with delicate flowers in shades of blue and green, overlapping swags of raised gold grapes. The lid is identically decorated and has a beautifully mulded ring handle. The whole has rich gilded rims.

Underneath the base has a blue decorator mark as well as the typical le Tallec mark that reads:Entirely hand painted by Le Tallec of Paris. Made in France for Black Starr & Gorham.
Condition is excellent: the only slight wear is to the tilding on the inner rim where the lid sits on the bowl. The rest of the paint and gilding is fresh, clean and without any form of damage.
