LC Smith 20ga crown grade double-barrel shotgun, 28” barrels, high rise raised rib, non-ventilated. Single trigger, auto ejectors, pistol grip stock with beavertail forend. Serial #197850. The barrels have been finely refinished long ago by an excellent gunsmith or the factory and show toning or drifting to a pleasing patina with approx. 80% remaining. The frame shows 30-50% case hardening, some even drifting, some slightwear at the edges of the engraving, and a coating of lacquer. The stocks are finely replaced and beautifully replicated with deluxe grained wood, properly checked and configured to LC Smith style. The stockmeasures 14-1/2” to the end of the wood, 14-3/4” to the end of the buttplate. The gun locks tight, bores are bright, choked Improved Cylinder (right) and Improved Modified (left).
