Monachii [Munich], formis Nicolai Henrici, 1634With a fine additional engraved title-page, pages (16), 1016, (2), cols 198, folio, later half calf : the binding worn with headbands gone, but still strong, some hairline worming in outer margins affecting text only on a handful of leaves : a clean, sound and very good copy.Laymann (1574-1635), one of the greatest moralists and canonists of his time. In this, his main work, he stands firmly for a milder treatment of those accused of witchcraft. This was the last edition published during his lifetime.
