LARGE GROUP OF 28 HISTORIC COINS W/ COLLECTIBLE HOLDERS- GROUP 2 - The first coin is nice Liberty Head V-Nickel. A very interesting coin, and a very interesting presentation holder. The 1883 coin is printed on the holder. You will get a coin similar to the coin shown on the right. - The next coin you will receive in this collection is a very nice U.S. Mint Proof Coin... Gorgeous Coin! - Next a coin is dated 1927.... the very year that Charles Lindbergh flew across the Atlantic Ocean to Paris. - The United States 200th birthday was in 1976.... and this coin comes from that very year. The coin is in top condition... UNCIRCULATED.- The next coin commemorated Modern trains of the 1950's. The coin will be any date from 1950 to 1959.... a cent from that decade. A very nice looking collector presentation holder. - In 1937 a Zeppelin flew from Germany in Europe to the United States.... upon it's arrival in Lindenhurst, New York, the airship Hindenburg suddenly exploded, basically killing travel of that sort. - he Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii occured on December 7, 1941. This coin is from that year, also dated 1941! - The next coin is a very nice Brilliant Uncirculated Wheat Cent. - The first resignation of a United States President happened in 1974..... Richard M. Nixon resigned after what is called the "Watergate Scandal" was reported by the media...... a truly interesting piece. - The Battle of the Bulge was the bloodiest of the battles that U.S. forces experienced in World War II. This coin is dated 1944, the year this battle occurred. - The next coin comes from 1965....... the same year that the United States government escalated the war in Vietnam. - The next coin is a beautiful 2006 Return To Monticello Nickel. A very nice piece! - Pope John Paul the Second, was elected Pope in 1978. A nice looking coin. - 1962 was the year that the Cuban Missile Crisis occured. President Kennedy was in the White House at the time. Luckily, the crisis was resolved to the United States satisfaction. - The Stock Market crash of October 1929 is probably the single most important cause of the Great Depression.... This collection does indeed have a hard to find coin from that year.... a very historic piece. - The Great Depression is associated with the early 1930's. Bread lines were common and are probably the phenomena of the thirties most widely named as being symbolic of the Great Depression..... A truly historic coin! - The 1936 Olympic Games were held in Berlin, Germany. This coin is from that year! The 1939 World's Fair was held in New York.... this holder shows some of the buildings and artwork from that Fair.... the coin is dated 1939. - Probably as a result of the War, General Eisenhower as elected President of the United States in 1952. This coin is from that year! - The next coin is very special..... dated 1916, the very same year that artist Claude Monet painted the Water Lilies series. Great coin for your collection. - The next coin in this collection is dated 1934.... This is a very interesting piece which depicts Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrows car after the couple were gunned down near their Louisiana hideout! - The next coin is a very unique 1943 steel cent. Due to wartime needs of copper for use in ammunition and other military equipment during World War II, the US Mint minted the penny in zinc-coated stee ... very collectible. The picture on the left is of the collectible holder. You will get a coin similar to the coin shown on the right. - The 1919 World Series is best known for the Black Sox Scandal. Eight members of the Chicago franchise were banned for life from baseball for throwing (intentionally losing) games, giving the victory to the Cincinnati Reds. This coin is from that year! - The next coin is from the year 2000 which marked the new Millennium. A very nice coin with a unique holder. - The next coin is a very nice 2005 Westward Journey Ocean View Nickel. - 1959 marked the first year of the Lincoln Memorial Cent. Here you have a very nice coin from that year with a nice collectible holder. - The Space Shuttle Columbia disaster occurred on February 1, 2003, when the Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrated over Texas during re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. This coin is from that very year! - 1945 was the year the United States dropped an Atomic Bomb code-named "Little Boy" on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Three days later the United States dropped a plutonium implosion-type device code-named "Fat Man" on the city of Nagasaki, Japan. Here is a coin from that very historic year.

The winning bidder pays for all costs of shipping or delivery of his/her lots. In some cases special delivery must be arranged between the consignor and the winning bidder. This is a traditional "mail bid" auction, meaning that all items will be sold to the highest bidder. We cannot be responsible for errors in your bidding or the loss or delay of any delay of any bids that do not reach us by the closing date and time. All bids submitted will be considered in U.S. dollars. A winning bid is considered a formal contract between the buyer and the consignor. Winning bidders will be notified after the sale with an invoice reflecting the total amount due and shall remit payment within two weeks of notification. We reserve the right to re-open the lots to second and third highest bidders if we have not received payment after two weeks. Title to each lot does not pass until the item has been paid for in full. Any late payments (one month past invoice date) will be assessed an accrued interest charge of 1.5% per month. All lots will be sent to winning bidders via U.S. Mail when the invoice has been paid in full unless other arrangements are made.
