Notes: Footnote to come My idea was to use frederick keisler's design of peggy guggenheim's art of this century as a jumping off point. The notion was for a radical departure in the way art is presented with no white walls or fixed environment; rather a maleable place where the desk pivots as do the walls, etc. taking nothing for granted. Who better suited I thought to take on the brief than vito acconci, who like keisler has a multi dimensional practice spanning the worlds of poetry, conceptual art, sculpture, installation and now a full blown architecture. The free floating island in graz was a testiment to acconci's genius.
