LARGE CABINET PHOTO OF AN EARLY LODGE FEATURING A GROUP OF TEN FLY FISHERMEN W/BAMBOO RODS Written on old pencil script on the reverse is "Samoset Hotel". This was found on the Maine coast and believed to possibly be the very first Samoset hotel, built in Rockport, Maine. The Samoset Resort, built in the 19th Century, has burned and been rebuilt on at least one occasion and was, during the early 20th Century and still is today, one of the finest resort complexes on the coast of Maine. SIZE: 9-1/2" x 7-3/4". CONDITION: Some staining along the edge and toning. The photo has a tear at both the bottom and the top. 9-92285
