L. C. Smith ideal-grade 410ga side by side shotgun, 28-1/8” barrel, raised non-ventilated rib, factory single trigger, standard extractors, blue and case hardened finish, checkered wood stocks, with ideal-grade floral engraving. Serial #8843. The gun is choked Modified (right), Extra Full (left). The barrels retain 92-96% original blue, just starting to drift and tone, and some minor losses at the edges. The frame shows 85-95% bright original case hardening, just starting to age, and some drifting to the bottom of the frame. The triggerguard shows 80-90% bright blue, thinning at the gripping area at the back of the tang. The varnish wood stocks are fine to near excellent with 80-90% original varnish and original factory buttplate. The stock measures 13-1/2” to the end of the wood, 13-7/8” to the end of the plain hard-rubber butt pad. The action is tight, the bores are fine. Difficult to find L. C. Smiths in small bores, especially in higher grades. Est: $10,000 - $14,000
