Manufactured from 1914 to 1951 in Fulton N.Y. by the Hunter Arms Company. Single brass bead sight on matte concave solid ribbed barrel marked "L.C. SMITH FIELD GRADE" on the right and "HUNTER ARMS CO. INC M'F'R'S FULTON, N Y U.S.A.". 2 3/4" chambers, choked extra full/improved modified, with extractor. The receiver and side plates are casehardened and both side plates are marked "L.C. SMITH". Double triggers, tang mounted automatic safety and mounted with a checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with a black plastic grip cap and serrated buttplate. LOP 14".

Condition: Very good plus. The barrels retain 90% original blue finish with an area of minor pitting on the muzzle of the right barrel, thinning an the left muzzle, some overall thinning to a smooth plum and some smooth gray patina on the breech ends. The trigger guard retains 20% original thin blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The receiver and side plates show 80% fading original case colors with a smooth silver gray on the balance. The wood is very good with a small chip on the toe of the buttstock, overall minor scratches, dents and dings, (mainly concentrated on the stock), and crisp checkering. The grip cap is chipped on the front edge. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
