L.A. Huffman & Tom Mix Photo & Postcard Collection
Featured in this lot is this collection of L.A. Huffman and Tom Mix photograph and postcards. There are two photographs and one postcard along with three newspaper clippings and one fold up brochures. The first photograph is a L.A. Huffman photograph from Coffrin's Old West Gallery and called "Interior of a Wolfer's Cabin originally from 1902 in Montana and shows a cabin setting with the rifle propped against the bunk that is covered by a trade blanket and shows a wood stove in the corner and numbered #146 on the back. The second photograph is an original photograph of actor Tom Mix who was an American film actor and the star of many early Western films between 1909 and 1935; the photograph is marked 'original' on the back of the photograph. There are three newspaper clippings in regards to actor Tom Mix from Movie Star News and other publications not noted but features a excerpt that is titled "Rider of the Death Valley," by Bill O'Neal. The next item is a colored postcard that shows a close up shot of Sitting Bull by D. F. Barry originally taken in 1885 courtesy of the Smithsonian Institution; Sitting Bull was a Hunkpapa Lakota leader who led his people during years of resistance against United States government policies. The last item is a brochure of the Chateau de Mores that reads: in the Heart of the North Dakota - and states its Open to visitors on U.S. Highway 10 and Interstate 94; and includes information of Chateau de Mores presented by State Historical Society of North Dakota Bismarck, North Dakota. The condition of this collection is good with a small wear mark to the Sitting Bull postcard but otherwise this collection features good overall condition. The measurements of this collection range from 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" to 8 3/8" x 11 1/4".
