The obverse is frosty bluish steel brown and chocolate with traces of faded mint red in protected areas and a few small clouds of darker steel toning around the date and star 12. The reverse is frosty medium brown with attractive bluish steel and faded mint red in protected areas. There are traces of powdery crud tucked in around the date and lower stars, but this is not verdigris and should be easy to remove, if desired. The surfaces are covered with satiny luster and the eye appeal is excellent. The only marks are some very tiny ticks on the cheek, a pair of thin nicks on the throat, and a speck of light greenish crud between the berries above the N in ONE. EDS, Breen state I. Struck very slightly off center to K-4. A very nice Turban Head cent. EAC grade MS60.
