Eminent German-American composer (1900–1950) best known for such evergreen stage works as the Threepenny Opera, Mahagonny, and Knickerbocker Holiday. A number of his songs, including “Mack the Knife” and “September Song,” take a place among the most durable standards of the 20th century. AMQS on an off-white 5.25 x 2.5 sheet of musically lined paper. Weill pens the first six bars of Mack the Knife, signed and inscribed under the quote, “For Mr. Heinz Guran, with my best wishes, Kurt Weill, Feb 1944.” In very fine condition.
