Signed book: One Touch of Venus. First edition. Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1944. Hardcover with dust jacket, 5.5 x 7.75, 102 pages. Signed and inscribed on the dedication page in fountain pen to stage manager Frank Coletti, “For Frank, our wonderful stage manager, Kurt.” Also signed on the title page by author S. J. Perelman, and on the two pages following the dedication page by the two leading cast members, John Boles and Mary Martin. Autographic condition: fine. Book condition: VG/VG. One Touch of Venus premiered at the Imperial Theatre on October 7, 1943, closing two years later after well over 500 performances. The musical’s success made Mary Martin a bona fide Broadway star, and Weill’s music was met with critical acclaim.
