In February of Meiji 30 (1897), on the occasion of His Majesty’s Imperial Visit to Osaka, Mr. Oyama Bunzo served in the official capacity of ceremony master, and was graciously presented with an imperial bookmark (shiori). In May of Taisho 15 (1926), on the occasion of the Crown Prince’s (later Emperor Showa’s) visit to Osaka, he again served in the same ceremonial capacity, and was graciously presented with an imperial bookmark. In June of Showa 4 (1929), on the occasion of His Majesty the reigning Emperor’s visit to Osaka, he once more fulfilled that role, and was again graciously presented with an imperial bookmark. Recorded by Nakano, member of the Koyama En’an school.
