For your bidding pleasure is this WWII Era 76MM T19E1B1 Tank Gun Shell Cartridge. This shell cartridge shows good condition with the only rusted part being the primer base. The 76MM tank shell's usage can be traced all the way back to WWII when updated Sherman tanks arrived in the UK with upgraded guns. The purpose of the upgrade was to produce Anti Tank Hunter-Killer war machines, and the 1MM difference gave these US tanks the edge they needed increasing range and armor penetration. This particular round also saw usage in Korea and Vietnam. The Lot Pat. number is rusted over and the serial number is barely visible but this is unmistakably 76MM tank round possibly for a M1 gun or a Walker Bulldog Tank. The measurements of this artillery shell are 23" tall by 4 1/4" diameter primer base and 3" cartridge neck. Jeff
