A very fine and unusual pear-shaped Korean Ewer with underglaze cobalt-blue design. We attribute this ewer to the 15th/17th century, Choson. This pear-shape ewer is decorated in underglaze cobalt-blue Phoenix's and clouds circumventing the body. Interestingly the blue glaze turned an olive-green in the high firing process.
