<B>Konstantin Tsiolkovsky Inscribed 1898 Pamphlet</B></I> Scarce scientific pamphlet in Russian inscribed by cosmonautics and rocketry pioneer Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857-1935), 22 pages, 6.75" x 10", (Odessa, 1898). Inscribed on the cover, in Russian "<I>From the journal/ Results of Physical Tests./ Year 1898.</B></I>" Not signed. A pioneering Russian aeronautical theorist and writer, Tsiolkovsky is the father of the Soviet space program. He built the first wind tunnel and solved fundamental problems about space travel, such as use of liquid rocket fuel, long before such activity was feasible. Extremely light dampstains and toning, else fine condition.
