This mid century Koken barber chair is a great looking piece. It has great quality and some great features. It features an art deco design with red leather sides and black vinyl seat. The Koken barber chair has been a symbol of innovation. It was the first one to have a successfully integrated hydraulic lift. This technology made it convenient for the barber to lift the chair up or bring it down when he needed to. It was a groundbreaking idea during the early 1900’s. This chair features a chrome footrest and padded headrest to ensure a comfortable haircut or shave. This chair comes from a Bozeman, Mt Barber shop and has been in use there since 1972.
