First, the letter: one page, 8" x 5.25", Rochester, New York, May 16, 1931, to Dr. Albert E. Cary, President Connecticut State Dental Association. A letter of acknowledgement for his receipt of the Newell Sill Jenkins Memorial Medal. George Eastman was one of a rare breed of individuals whose inventions and contributions transcend the mundane, transforming and impacting an entire society. His invention of roll film and the inexpensive camera brought photography to the common man. After earning his fortune, he retired from the day-to-day running of his company and spent the last years of his life as a philanthropist, giving away as much as $100 million, mostly to institutes of advanced learning. Very good condition with one mounting trace on the verso and a portion of the "G" clipped off at the bottom. <BR><BR>Also included is a Signature on a 5" x 2.5" sheet with original envelope of transmittal dated 1928. Fine condition, lightly mounted to a collector's folder.
