Kipling, W.H. Drake, and P. Frenzeny</B></I>. Twelvemo. 212 pages with frontispiece (with tissue guard) and forty-two text illustrations (nineteen full-page); and <I>The Second Jungle Book with Illustrations by J. Lockwood, Kipling,C.I.E</B></I>. First edition. Twelvemo. 238 pages with 39 text illustrations. Each volume in the original bright blue cloth, decoratively ruled and pictorially stamped in gilt on front cover; gilt lettering on spine. All edges gilt with the original dark gray-green coated endpapers. <BR><I><BR>The Jungle Book</B></I> bears a few raised areas on boards and along joint indicating water damage. Minor fading to spine with moderate wear to spine ends. Board corners are worn; textblock has been overopened but leaves are clean and sharp overall. <I>The Second Jungle Book</B></I> shows similar wear, with moderate fading to spine and damage to spine ends. Corners worn and bumped. Textblock bears occasional minor foxing but is fine overall. Both volumes bear a "Newbegins, San Francisco" sticker on the rear pastedown.
