The lot features an attractive circa 1890 fully beaded skull cracker stone headed war club attributed to the Kiowa Native American Indians of western Oklahoma. The piece features a polished white steatite stone head with a wood haft handled that is adorned with padre sky light blue period correct 19th Century glass trade beads. At the base of the skullcracker war club is a nice long, frilly Indian tanned buck skin fringe wrap. The stone head shows a pink-ish matric and double end rounded design being secured with hide with a gasket of hide fringe. Overall the piece measures 18 ½ inches long with the fringe hanging an additional 19 inches long and the head being 6 ½ inches wide.
