This is a Kiowa fully beaded Awl Case from circa 1870-1890. The Kiowa Native American Indian piece has alternating strips of glass trade seed beads in Hudson Bay red white hearts, black, blue, and a chalk white/light blue. The piece also has long fringe accented with tin jingle cones having white Horse hair and excellent early 1800 white and red wound pound beads. The top flap or cover is also beaded and has a rich deep red ocher mineral paint. The museum quality piece is in well preserved good condition and is an excellent piece. Measures overall with fringe 19.25"L.
