Boldly struck VF, slightly porous with the obverse being somewhat off-center. Philip III was a half-brother of Alexander the Great. Son of Philip II and the dancer Philinna of Larissa, Philip III continued coinage of Alexander's main types, sometimes retaining Alexander's name, other times replacing it with his own, as with this coin.
