Gupta Dynasty, Samudragupta(335-370 CE), Gold Dinar, Large flan, King and Queen type,(Lichchhavayah),issued in the memory of his parents Chandragupta I and Kumaradevi,Obv:theking, nimbate, diademed, standing to the right facing, the queen stands in tribhanga pose on the left, the king offering a ring/flower to the queen,both have a halo overtheir heads,and a crescent is visible between them,the Brahmi legendShri Kumaradevipartially visiblein the left field behind the queen,ChandraandGuptain the right field divided by a crescent standardwhich is held in the kings left hand,Rev:thegoddess Durga seatedin the paralambapadasanaposeon a recumbent lion facing right, holding a cornucopia and a pasha, a tamgha on the left field, the Brahmi legendLichchhavayah in theright field and a dotted border around the field,7.42g, 20.44mm,(Unlisted in Altekar TGE),centrally struck, sharp features,almost complete details visible,XF-AU,ExtremelyRare.
