King of France (born 1754) from 1774 to 1792. In the wake of increasing unrest that developed into full-fledged revolution, Louis and his queen, Marie Antoinette, were executed in 1793. Scarce DS, signed “Louis,” one page, 10.25 x 15, circa 1782. Final page of a record of the activities of the Royal Treasury as reported to the Royal Council. In very good condition, with intersecting folds one of which passes vertically through the first letter of his name, paper separation along several folds, edge chipping, and mild soiling and toning. Accompanied by an unsigned page of the original report.
