King of France (born 1638) from 1643 until his death in 1715, known as the ‘Sun King’ for the glittering splendor of his court at Versailles and the unparalleled glory of France during his 72-year reign. Manuscript vellum DS, in French, signed “Louis,” one page, 20 x 13.25, 1710. Crisply penned untranslated document signed at the conclusion in black ink by the King. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, paper loss to bottom right edge, and scattered mild toning.
