Two items: a DS, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, November 24, 1961, conferring the Swedish vice-consul at Falmouth, Mr. Philip Hamilton Fox, signed above the crisply embossed paper seal in blue ballpoint by King Gustaf Adolf. Also included is an untranslated ALS in Swedish and German, signed "Louise," three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4 x 5.25, no date, addressed to the Prime Minister and Duc of Norway advising him to take a neutral stance in the event that the current difficulties between France and England escalate into war. In overall fine condition, with seal-related wrinkling to the document. Accompanied by a complete translation to French for the Gustaf Adolf document and an original unpublished tintype of Louise from the 1860s.
