<B>King George V and Winston Churchill Signed Pardon.</B></I> Amusing content in this rare typed 8” x 13” pardon signed April 5, 1911, at the Court at St. James’s in London. Signed at the top <I>“George R. I.”</B></I> and at the bottom <I>“W Churchill”,</B></I> this document<I>-“By His Majesty’s Command”-</B></I>pardoned Blanche Rogers who, on February 4, 1911, had been <I>“convicted of allowing a dog to be at large without a name on its collar and ordered to pay a fine of 1/- and 7/- costs.”</B></I> The document-with a black “mourning band” edge in remembrance of King Edward VII, who died the previous year-is in very good condition with some soiling, minor staining, and minor wear at the corners.
