Manuscript DS, signed “George R,” one page, 9.5 x 14.5, July 1, 1820. An order "to grant and make payable unto the said Sir John Borlase Warren a proportion of his former Allowance as His Majesty's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Court of St. Petersburgh amounting to the yearly sum of Two thousand pounds." Prominently signed at the top by the king. In fine condition, with adhesive remnants to top edge of the reverse, and a few small edge separations. John Borlase Warren was a decorated officer of the British Royal Navy and diplomat.
