Manuscript DS, signed “George R,” one page both sides, 7.75 x 12.5, December 31, 1820. Warrant directing “the Great Seal of Our United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to be affixed to an Instrument…containing Our Acceptance of an Act of Accession on the part of the Swiss Confederation to a Convention concluded at Aix-la-Chapelle on the Ninth day of October 1818, for the Evacuation of the French Territory by the Allied Troops.” The original four-page true copy of said instrument remains bound to the document with a black ribbon. The white paper seal affixed to the upper left remains fully intact. In fine condition. The Congress of Aix-la-Chapelle held in 1818 was part of the Concert of Europe and resulted in the restoration of France as a major European power.
