The eldest son of George III, he alienated his subjects with his prodigious spending and contemptuous treatment of his wife, Queen Caroline, whom he refused to admit to his coronation. Ink signature, “George PR,” on an off-white 4.75 x 2.5 vellum slip clipped from a larger document. In fine condition, with mild rippling and creasing, scattered light foxing, and light show-through from writing on reverse.
