The eldest son of George III, he alienated his subjects with his prodigious spending and contemptuous treatment of his wife, Queen Caroline, whom he refused to admit to his coronation. Partial vellum DS, 7.75 x 3.25, no date. Signed at the top left, “George R.” The document is affixed to a slightly larger page. Reattached left portion affecting the first letter of his name, wrinkling, scattered soiling, otherwise very good condition. George’s signature is bold and fully legible.
