Manuscript DS, signed “George R,” two pages both sides, 7.75 x 12.25, January 25, 1807. King George III grants a license to Jane Parker "that her son Cha's Newdigate Parker, a Minor & his Issue may take & use the surname of Newdegate as the same was anciently written & bear the Arms of Newdegate only." Signed at the head by King George III, and countersigned at the conclusion by George Spencer, 2nd Earl Spencer. The white paper seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. In very good to fine condition, with soiling and edge toning to the first page.
