King George III document signed from 1779 during the Revolutionary War. His signature to the upper left appears: ''George R'' in large script, authorizing payment to Algernon Percy to reimburse him for military expenses. Reads in part: ''...out of such monies as are in or shall come to your hands for the Contingent uses of Our Land Forces...you pay unto Our Trusty and Welbeloved Algernon Percy the Sum of One Hundred, and Fifty Nine Pounds two Shillings and eleven pence, without deduction in full satisfaction of the like Sum expended by him in the Contingent disbursements of the Northumberland Regiment of Militia under his Command from 31st December 1778 to 24th June 1779...'' Accompanied by a 5.5'' x 8.5'' etched portrait of George III. Toning and chipping throughout, with archivally repaired separations. Very good.
