Boldly signed, with the King's paper and wax seal fully intact, as is the blue revenue stamp: but foxed and discolored throughout - the condition is only good, then overall. Here the King of Ireland and England appoints John Spinks, Gentleman, to be a lieutenant and commands him to"<I>carefully and diligently to Discharge the Duty of Lieutenant by Exercising and Well-disciplining both the inferior Officers and Soldiers</B></I>" From the Henry E.
