King George II of Great Britain Manuscript Document Signed Twice "George R". Two pages (one leaf), 11.5" x 18.5", Kensington Court, August 19, 1751, a "Warrant for deducting one days Pay Yearly" Also signed on both pages by "H[enry] Pelham" as Prime Minister, "J Campbell", and "George Grenville" as Lord of the Treasury. King George II (1683-1760) was the last British monarch to have been born outside Great Britain. He is famous for numerous conflicts with both his father, King George I, and his son, King George III. Early on, he was a weak ruler, allowing Sir Robert Walpole to essentially control the government. Folds, with minor separations thereat, rough edges, else about very good. A fine assemblage of signatures.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
