Handwritten letter to Lord Clarendon, in full: "The Princess is very much pleased at Sir Charles Wyke's dispatch, giving an account of her sister, Princess Thyra's confirmation at Copenhagen, & she begs me to thank you very much for sending it to me for her to read." Princess Thyra of Denmark, the sister of Edward VII's wife Alexandra, was confirmed on May 27,0 1870, by the Bishop of Zealand, Hans Lassen Martensen, in the chapel of Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen. A desirable letter with content regarding Europe's royal families.
