Untranslated addressed to his adviser, “Conde Don Uberto de Stampa Primo de me Consejo de Estrada.” In full (translated): “Illustrious Count Don Uberto Stampa, cousin, of my Council of State: In the prediction that your thoughtfulness makes for me in your letter of the twelfth of December wishing me happiness for the Feast of the Nativity, my gratitude finds worthy reason to acknowledge its receipt, and in reciprocation of so agreeable an impulse, I deem it right to declare to you my inclination and the disposition of my Imperial and Royal Spirit toward whatever may be considered most conducive to your consolation and satisfaction.” In very good condition with intersecting folds passing through the signature, and scattered light soiling and wrinkling.
